Default Day at the Dyno: PICS

I got the Lowrider Dyno'ed today and thought of you guys and tried to snap a few pics while the Dr. wasn't looking. Results came back at 78.34/91.12. He stongly suggested that I get a bigger carb when I upgrade exhaust. I left with a 54/190 jetting.

It is said that a c/v carb can deliver up to 100HP! If you use a decent 2-into-1 pipe you can fill in that dip in your torque curve, which is typical of two separate pipes. You may not get any more HP, but the improved torque in the low rev range is very worthwhile!

I think we have pretty much the same setup with the EV27, KB 9.5:1 pistons. How does she run with that jet setup? What was your carb setup prior to the dyno visit?

I showed up with a 46/180 which I knew was lean, but the dyno guy hooked it up and wouldnt even test run it it was so lean. He cut my long baffels in half, cleaned the oil off the air filter, installed a new slide (the prior owner drilled out) I already had the 88 XL needle in so he didnt shim anything and installed a 54/190. The 54 was spot on, but we ran it 6-7times to find the right combination of high speed jet and parameters.

I have not gotten on it hard yet but it starts fast and runs strong.
