Man, seeing a bike laying on it's side is as sad as seeing a squished puppy laying in the street. Just a very sad image. But glad you're bikes alright

There is a bell just forward of the right floorboard. When it went over the floorboard folded up slowing the fall? Maybe that bell helped.

Sometimes my Fatboy creeps forward an inch as I run her in the garage. Just the lope of the cam and the vibe of motor does it. That inch, on a bike with a long side stand could be the problem.

LMAO apparently, like a tree falling in the forest with no one around to hear,I'd go with the bike falling over makes less noise.
The OP didn't hear it.It wasn't until he saw his friends expression that he knew something was amiss.

When I was showing my bike to my father-in-law, who has been riding as long as me, my new to me dyna he sat on it and didn't get the stand all the way down and over it went. He was sick about it. To this day he wont sit on it.

I loved my engine guards for the fact of placing my highway pegs in the most comfortable position.
Last 6 months with my back trouble I actually appreciated their true design.
Stopped and turned to look back at my wife pulling up.Back spasmed and my leg gave out.My bike lightly rested on the guard at about 45 degrees and after the spasm stopped I was able to stand it back up.
