So the other day my cousin who has never seen my bike asked how loud are your pipes. I stood to the right of my bike and fired her up. Let her run for a bit and shut her down. Started walking out of garage and noticed a look of horror on his face. I knew immediately that it wasnt good. Turned around and she was on the ground. I just knew my tank was smashed and plenty of scratches. Well we stood her up and the only thing I can find is a few scuffs on the tank behind the AC-you really have to know they are there. So I am happy to have that out of the way with no damage. Neither one of us could figure out why she went over?? Ghosts I guess. End of rambling. Ride safe
Ac means right side. I could see falling left if the jiffy stand folded, but to go all the way past balance point to the right to fall makes no sense... how'd you manage that one?
Looking at his signature pic, it looks to be standing pretty straight up and the wheel is cocked to the right. Every bike I've had leaned to the left alot more and the wheel naturally turned to the left. Could be a staged picture but if not, I'd get a shorter stand.
If it is any consolation my nice new shiny BMW fell over some years ago. It was parked on its side stand, the wind lifted it enough for the spring loaded stand to flick up and crash!
A tough lesson to learn, but take care to ensure the poor thing is leaning safely.....
