'96 ignition upgrades?

Default '96 ignition upgrades?

I'm doing a tune up on my newly aquired '96. I'm going with NGK iridium plugs and screamn' eagle wires. Coil and module are stock. I was doing reading on the screamn' eagle module- but it looks like harley discontinued them and the supply is gone. I'm not buying a used one for $200+ on ebay. I don't "think" I need to get into a fully adjustable $400 unit- don't have any short term plans for cams or anything like that- the bike is at stage I right now.

Thoughts? Change module? Leave it stock? Go with screamn' eagle coil?

Save your money, you won't notice much difference.

Fat wires and single fire coils make no noticeable difference on a road bike. Modules have better advance curves and higher rev limiter.....a Sportster module will do the job but its not buckets of horsepower, just smoother running and slightly altered torque curve.

Iridium plugs are worth the effort though.

Stage 1 just lets the bike breathe better than the EPA-neutered stock bikes but it should be compulsory to do on all bikes as they are way happier and you can hear them.

Cool, so a sportster module and I'm all set. Just a stock module from the same year sportster?

As long as the plug is the same you are good to go.

I have a SE module that is almost brand new was only on my 96 Road King for less than 500 miles before I went with a Daytona Twin Tec for better adjustability with my performance upgrades. I can get the part number later when I get home but its the one that is highly recommended on the Nightrider site I'll treat you alot better than 200 bucks too just send me a PM and we can talk about it.

If the other guy doesn't buy it let me know. I I have a 96 that has a cam in it and I want to help it breathe.
