Hi All,
I am replacing the oil pump on my 86 EVO and have been told that I don't need to put any gasket cement on the gaskets just smear some oil on them.
Is this correct as I would hate to get it all back together and then have an oil leak.
Can someone recommend any good quality gasket brands as i would like to install the best I can get. Are the Genuine James Oil Pump Gaskets OK?
Just the gasket, no pookie. James makes good gaskets. If you are that concerned, use Genuine HD from the dealer, which is frequently the same as James sells.
