For some reason it seems that the only supplier for 1990 Evo roller tappetts besides Mother Harley is a company named " Feuling " .
They have a decent web site etc. but would like to know if anyone else has delt with them ?
Apperantly they are a southern cal. outfit but i dont want to receive chinese stuff if possible.?
Any advise ?
"Tappet" is American for "Lifter" or "cam follower." Just like "open end wrench" is American for "spanner," or "punch" for "drift." Although I see the OP is in fact a Canadian, so perhaps "tappet" is a hammer or something on Canada.
Lots of people making lifters for our bikes, and they are all roller. Lots of opinions, but hard to go wrong with the OEM ones. S&S would be my 2nd choice. Does Andrews make any? They certainly know a lot about HD cams. What about the performance SBC (translation for the American challenged: "small block Chevy V8") lifters that the twinky guys are using? Are they the same as on our bikes?
In January I bought 4 of them, "CRANE CAMS HI PERF HYDRAULIC ROLLER TAPPET BIG TWIN XL" (x4) 178,09 EUR + 41,19 EUR shipping. RidersDiscount eBay
Cheers,
Edit: Didn't see Spanners39' post.
I installed a set of the Crane lifter/tappets and Crane Pushrods on my 95 E-Glide back in Febuary when I rebuilt my engine.Put around 16 thousand miles on it so far and no problems/no noise. They were on sale at the time and about the best deal I could find.
