Default Tour pack quick release help

i bought the tour pack quick release set up after seeing people on here installing it on their early bagger. The frame mounts were pretty straight forward. Lill adjustment here, shim the fender shock thru hole.. The bracket that holds the tour pack fits fine to the base. My problem is that the U? that is sent with the mount is wider than the original. Mine is an early 86, do all the tour packs have the two raised ridges on the bottom? I am going to have to mout through these to fit it or either get some 1/2 square stock bar as spacers to mount it.

Default Tour Pack Help

Never mind, I went ahead and drilled the holes in it to mount onto the two raised ridges. Sits higher now I believe. I am going to still use the stainless 1 inch bar to mount it to the orig holes tho, Think it is too high. If its not then it will look like a chop with out being chopped lol.. Next and final mod for a yr or so is 21 inch ultima front wheel and bag extensions

No. The later model Tour Paks have a Flat bottom.
I used the Tour Pak off my '85 on my '09 Quick Release.

I just used spacers to mount the bottom solid.

Good Luck.

The one I used is for pre 09 part #54051-08 I believe it has a more tubular look than that one I would post a pic if I could figure out how to
Cheers
