Do you think I should have the carb cleaned while it's out?



I know I need a new enrichener cable.....

It is something you can do yourself. I never worked on one until this something and have now taken it apart and put it back together about six times.

Take pictures so you know how it goes back together.

It is fairly easy (it's only hard the first time).
Take lots of pictures they will really help.

Heck yea, why not.....So, do i open it up and blast it with carb cleaner and call it good?

For ten to fifteen bucks you can buy a rebuild kit. Put new gaskets and accelerator pump in there. You'll also want to consider replacing the screws for the accel pump and bowl with stainless allen types, as the originals frequently get chewed up during removal. You can always do the carb later, just spray it out now and don't take it apart.

I would atleast drop the bowl and clean that out as well as the jets-etc., and spray out the venturi.

You need a new enricher cable or will sometime soon, that pic shows it separated.
