Dual fire or single fire?

Since I've never heard of damage resulting from either a dual-fire or single-fire ignition, I consider it a personal choice for an owner to make. I put a single-fire on my 1990 FXRS back in the mid to late 90's, and have never regretted it. In fact, I loved it from the moment I started it up. I don't believe there is more power, but I'm absolutely convinced that throttle response is quicker, or "snappier". Between that, and improving the front end handling by adding a fork brace, replacing the rubber isolators under the handlebar risers with nylon versions, and replacing the fork springs with progressive wound springs, and using heavier fork oil, my bike "felt" lighter and seems to respond quicker to what I want it to do. At the risk of sounding crazy, it even reminded me of my dirt bike riding days. If I'd of had a 600 pound dirt bike, that is. The point is, if it feels good (and ain't hurtin' nuthin') then do it.
