Default Oil Pressure Switch Help

I decided to finally replace the oil pressure switch on the glide today. The one i picked up doesn't look like the one thats on it so i looked up the old one on jp cycles and they call it an "oil sender." The oil sender has two wires connected and the oil switch only has one. Is there a seperate oil switch somewhere that i'm not seeing? This is on a 92 electra glide.

The one wire is a body ground type and the two wire probably supplies a ground. Once you find out if its normally open or normally closed you can pick one up at Napa.

I had already picked up the new switch at the bike shop this morning while getting some other stuff. Question is will this new one work? The one with the two wires seems to not be offered anymore.

Not really. It has bolts on top instead of the slide on things.

Here's a screw type instead of the spayed type.

Just a heads up in case you did not know, they have tapered pipe threads and if you over tighten you run a real risk of cracking the case. I go just a little past hand tight using chanel locks with permatex pipe sealant, make sure there is no oil in the hole and let it sit until the sealant sets..
