For a stock show room new bike, I would say that is a pretty good price. There aren't many like that around. I am guessing he won't have any trouble selling it.
Yeah, If I were in Atlanta I woulld be checking it out, price is up there but a fist full of cash might fix some of that.
On these low milage deals one can always check the brake rotors for wear, tire wear and date code. ( I don't trust anyone ).
Didn't 98s have 5 screw derby covers, my 99 did...this one is 3 screw..
Ds
my 98 RKC has a 3screw derby cover. the 98's did get the updated transmission (although i have no idea what they "updated" other than the clutch basket).
Thanks, I googled up some pictures and they were 3 screw, guess they changed in 99.
As far as the price, I try never to pay asking price unless that price is already too good to be true, and $10.5 for that bike is maybe an OK price. I'm shopping springers right now and that bike with under 10K miles is about an $7.5-8.5K machine and probably would have decent rubber plus some other upgrades. I'm not sure the low mileage warrents 2.5K more unless one plans to just leave it parked and sell it 20 years from now. Plus, if you are going to ride it then figure on new rubber, complete service and maybe a few minor performance upgradess like air and exhaust...another grand or so...
