Default getting ready to "push the button"

Any last suggestions, or should I filler up, pull the enrichener, blip the throttle, and PUSH THE BUTTON?

I skip the choke. 3 1/2 turns on the idle adjuster for the mikuni, 2 twists of the throttle, and she fires right up

I was always told to turn it over without fuel or fire first, make sure nothing is banging into anything else.

WELL, that sucks! What I did before I started it up after a tear down is pull the plugs out and leave the fuel off, should just roll over smooth as silk. If something isn't right, you'll know, rather than let the engine tear itself up. Bummer about the sensor. You'll have to tell us how that happened?

When I changed out the cam bearing in mine, I turned it over with the back wheel and the plugs out to check out everthing. I also poured oil all over everthing in the cam chest when I put it together. When I hit the starter she fired right up and made me smile. I had soaked the lifters in a can of oil before putting them back and had no noise from the valve train at all. I have put about 12,000 miles on it since without problems.
