Good day folks,
I've searched both the EVO and Softail forums but couldn't find an answer so I'm posing my question here.
I've been wanting to upgrade the stock '98 headlight for a while and found a cheap one off a 2011 Fatboy Lo. When I checked the part on the HD website, it says that it will fit a 2000+.
Does anyone know if I can fit it on my '98 with minimal effort?
If they're both 7" then sure. If yours is a sealed beam and other is a h4 bulb in a round bucket then maybe so. Connecter is the same but the fitment may be ever so slightly BUT annoyingly off.
Do you have size info?
The answer is yes. I just put the HID lights in my 96 FLSTN. There's three tabs on the back of your headlight. Bring it into Harley and line them up. (they do) and you're fine. HD has long stopped paying attention to anything EVO. The new headlamps will fit in your bike though. Worry not.
