hey all, is there any real difference between an fxd and a fxrp
A ton - the FXR and the FXD have completely different frames, though they're similar in dimension.
If you look at "my garage" - the pics of my FXRT are similar to what a stock FXRP would have looked like.
ok, for some reason i thought there where basically the same bike...more to learn it seems. they both have the same evo engine , right? if ya cant tell i'm a FNG, aka cherry.
i got the chance to buy either or, and i'm trying to learn as much as possible in a short time

The FXR was solely an EVO engine, if I'm not mistaken - newer Dynas (FXDs) came in EVO and TwinCam configurations. Why don't you share a little more about the bikes you're looking at?

The FXRP is a Police spec bike, so may have features not on a normal model. The FXD is a normal model. As 1984_FXRT explained, the frames are quite different, the FXR being replaced by the FXD. Earliest FXRs were shovels, otherwise most were Evos. FXDs are still in production, so while early ones had Evos, they also come with Twincam 88s and 96s.
