Easy question??
Thanks for all the inputs. I knew the EVO guys would jump in for me.
I had discussed extending the wire harness after the purchase but she is a bit gun shy about buying a bike and then immediately tearing into it. I tell thats what we do. She will come around.
I just wanted to be sure the dealer wasn't jerking her around in regards to the lack of length in the harness.
I have to agree with Spanners. I have not seen the bike but in the pics. the bars do look like a low drag bar type. Not much rotating available.
The dealer knows this is a sale, so I am bit surprised that they are not working hard enough for her. The good news is she is not completely in love with the bike he has in stock so she is more than ready to walk away. It has some blacked out features she is unsure of.
Once again...Thanks to all.

Go to another dealer to look at similar bikes. You'll probably find one that will work with her a little, but in the end if the dealer does the bar swap for her pre-delivery (or add some damn chrome) it can be built into her loan which takes the sting out of the cost.

Yeah, if this is a dealer deal, I suggest "OK, I'll take the bike, but you throw in new bars like this, installed." Compromise on $100 or $200, which is probably the dealer cost on changing the bars and extending whatever needs extending. No deal? There's plenty o' dealers out there. Especially today in Great Depression 2.0.
The bars on the HD website look like traditional shaped BSA bars and they will move quite a bit when rotated in the clamps. That is not to say they can be made to work for her, but it takes a few minutes to find out if she can save a grand!
