Thumbs up

The good Dr Hess has started your shopping list for you!

Before you start spending, check what you have, but more importantly decide what you intend using your bike for. If it has been standing that long second item on your shopping list is a pair of tyres with tubes and a change of all fluids and filter. You would be far better advised to ride it during the coming season as it is, enjoy it, get to meet other Harley riders and allow your ideas to take shape. Don't rush into changing stuff for the sake of it!

The reasons for changing various things is to undo the harm done by EPA noise and emissions regulations. These include a very quiet airbox, mufflers, lean fuel settings (carb or EFI) and compromised ignition and cam timing. So yes there is value in changing to an aftermarket ignition system, which will give you better advance curves, just as a change of cam will give you better valve timing.

Best of luck with completing your purchase. You'll find plenty of ideas and help in here.

that bike looks amazing but honestly its a shame that it has a hyper charger on it......talk to any tech or any body who knows their **** and they will tell you its a waste of money. The evo is an awesome motor and really is a great platform for hp and tq.

Most of what we buy comes to us from the USA, with high shipping costs and UK taxes, so other than a dealer T-shirt as a souvenir, save your money! You'll probably find the T-shirt has come here from the USA as well.....

Nice ride, Besides a once around the block maintenance that you are already doing, a little quality time with some wrenches and sockets tightening up things would not hurt. Observe proper torque where required. I would avoid making and changes like wide tires or custom wheels myself, that thing is an unmolested classic and my personal choice is to leave it alone. The hypercharger was supposed to give all kinds of performance gains and in reality, did nothing. But, it doesn't hurt anything, it's vintage to your bike's age and does not look bad, I would not go out and buy one but getting rid of it won't do anything for ya either.

Just enjoy the bike.,,,We can spend your money for ya later...LOL

Things you need:

Evo section requires a sense of humor

You already have a Evo

Agree with everyone about being a nice ride and need to take it out to get a feel of it, make adjustment and changes to make it your own, some Evo owners stay stock, some go with the grain, some go against the grain and are pioneers, remember one thing "nothing wrong with having the only Evo in the parking lot"

That bike is beautiful with the tank saying classic all the way, I do happen to have a a$$hole so my opinion is put the stock round air cleaner on it with a high flow filter under it, Hyperchargers are a major turnoff for me

Yeah im not too huge a fan of the looks either. Not sure if the seller still has the stock round cleaner or not.

Im thinking if I cant find a stock round one here I might stick a Fast Air from Performance Machine on as he has one lying about somewhere as Id Prefer that to the Hypercharger. Stock is no 1 choice tho
