Ok I'm not sure I understand what you are saying.

When you switched the wires (at the coil) it should have switched which cylinder is firing.

Is that what is happening?

You may want to run a compression/leak down test.

Just pull the wire and stick a screwdriver in it and see if it sparks to a fin and jumps a pretty good gap, if it does, you already tried a plug, move on to fuel or compression.

Does front cyl pickup any with enricher or hand choking at fast idle?

Do a quick check for intake leak with some wd-40 or something.

The plug looks wet or dry?

Seems like it is safe to say your coil is fine and you have a spark. Check the sending unit in the nose cone it is usually obvious if they are blown, do a compression test ensure gas is reaching the jug should be obvious on the plug. If that all checks see if your buddy will let you try his ECM. Start with the simple and cheap the work your way up.

Great spark jump. And only the rear cylinder picks up when I use the choke.

Do a quick thumb check, compare how hard or loud it blows when you try to cover the plug hole on the front then rear cylinder

if compression loss is enough to not support combustion at all, you'll be able to hold the plug hole close and not blow out, or very little.
