It isn't weird it just means your problem is not in the ignition circuit.

You said you get spark on the front plug so you have to have a problem in the front jug.

Do you have adjustable pushrods in your bike?

You said you had a hard time getting the O'Rileys compression tester out of your jugs. What did you get when you did the compression test?

Did you do a leak down test?

If you plan on working on your bike yourself you really need a OEM service manual.
Do you have one?

I have adjustable push rods as of this weekend when I did the cam swap this weekend, but ive had this problem on and off for about a month or two. I could'nt get a good compression check because of that. I have to shop around. Gonna try the leak down test. How ever while the motor is at idle it will push your hand off if you cover the front pipe.

Yeah I wanted to see if it was kicking out hot exhaust. What am I listening for a stuck valve?

All the motorcycle safety courses in our area offer the bike to take the class. Might not have to have your bike fixed...then again, maybe you do for your class.

The level 1 training can be done on a trainer bike. Level 2 has to be done on your own bike according to the military requirnments.

When you switched the wires (at the coil) it should have switched which cylinder is firing.

Is that what is happening?

You may want to run a compression/leak down test.
Not on a dual fire. If that happens then you have a coil fault, if its leads the prob stays the same cyl.

Have you checked the push rod adjustment....they are notorious for causing issues like this. Take them out and refit as per instructions.
