Default Evo Mileage?

I would like to gather some opinions on fuel usage. Has anyone got an idea of what kind of mileage they're getting, how far you've tested the reserve tank, what is your trip meter "time to stop"?

Fuel tank capacity, 5.2 gal total, .6 reserve. I've never tested the reserve out but I do refuel at 200 on the trip and I think it takes about 4.6 gal. Please weigh in with your opinion and stats!

I drive quite aggressively and only get upper 30's to lower 40's when riding solo.
I'm more relaxed, much less aggressive, and more cautious when riding 2-up. When the wife and I are leisurely riding, I have gotten as much as 52 mpg. I try to fuel up at 120 miles, just so I don't get caught running low and closed fuel stations.
I have run 200 miles and never switched to reserve. Honestly, I don't even know if the reserve side of my petcock is operational.

You're close enough! Mileage we each get will depend on a lot of things and it looks as if you have a good handle on things. Numbers won't be very different from yours, indeed are not so far from my S&S 107.

I get low 30s on my 96 heritage. Drives me nuts. Doesn't matter highway/in town or solo/2-up. Always the same. The pingel petcock has a larger reserve than what was on before because now I flip to reserve just after 100 miles and fill up with 3.25 gallons. Seriously considering swapping out the s&s carb to see if it improves.

33 mph not matter what. Mikuni carb, Screamin Eagle 10.1, Comp camshaft ported heads, true dual exhaust, all on a 1987 800 pound FLHTC. Not real happy about MPG, but enjoy the performance.

'94 FLSTN. Arlen Ness "Big Sucker" stage 1 air cleaner, Kerker for H-D 2 into 1 pipe, stock cam and ignition.

When I ran the CV carb (stock except for #45 pilot jet), I'd average 50 MPG pretty consistently. Of course, that was when you could still get real gasoline here, not the E10 crap they sell today. With the stock petcock, my 5.2 gallon tank hit reserve with 1.2 gallons left.

With the Mikuni HSR42, I get between 39 and 47 MPG today. That's on E10 of course. The Mikuni is much less consistent, obviously. The Pingel petcock I'm running now has a taller standpipe, and thus, goes on reserve at 3.6 gallons with 1.6 gallons left. I typically hit reserve somewhere between 150 and 175 miles now.

My 99 Softail Custom gets 50 mpg average. I usually fill up around 180 miles on the odometer, but have run over 200 without hitting reserve. It is stock except for K&N air cleaner, drag pipes, and 45 pilot jet, 180 main. It also has a 5.2 gallon tank with .6 reserve.

I get 40mpg on average with what is listed below and a highly modified CV carb. I also run it fairly hard, I like fast. My pingle hits reserve @ 3.5gallons and it's right about 140 miles.

1995 FLHR right around 45 mpg. Thunderslide kit. If we are out flogging it I have been as low as 33 mpg. I have never been able to get 50 mpg. As I recall the best it has ever been was 48.
