I have a new to me 91 FLHS. I read every post I could find about adding a batwing, and have been looking for a shovel era fiberglass one. I really like the look of the one Mr GrBrown added to his FLHS. I was wondering if anyone has fit a Memphis Shades Batwing to the FLHS. I know the'toaster dash' might be in the way. I tried calling MS, but the receptionist only read through the same fitment chart I was looking at. Anyone have a pick of a MS batwing on the electra glide sport?
Hi from Old England! It would be nice to see the other side of that batwing, but from the pretty side it looks fine. I started with a complete 1983 batwing with mounting brackets, but having a brother who is ace with sheet metalwork, we ended up making new ones from scratch. As I recall the original ones won't mount up directly, due to the beautiful instrument panel, so I set it leaning back more than stock. It works fine!
A further thought is that Harley did make a batwing kit for our FLHSs, although it was darned expensive. It was the same as a shovel batwing and came with different mounting brackets to suit. They must be out there, somewhere!
I have one the oringal Harley batwing for sale
But the mounting brackets are long gone and it
Needs paint. Ill would willing to sell for 100 plus

I have a similar situation, got a '93 FLHS and trying to figure out what year batwing fairing would fit. I'm looking at a FLH panhead/shovelhead fairing w/brackets n shield that the owner says goes to up to '84. MoCo couldn't tell me, so looking for a little help here.
Your bike is almost identical to mine, so read the posts above! The old glass-fibre batwing can be made to fit, but will not bolt on without adapting the brackets. This photo is mine some while ago, showing the instruments inside the fairing. I scratch fabricated my brackets.
I'm pretty sure the 85 FLHTC fairing and brackets will fit with no modifications. Years ago I purchased the FLHS windshield & brackets that fit no problem, so I assume the reverse must be true.

That's worth knowing, as your bike looks to have the same instruments as my FLHS. My batwing is an 83 and the original brackets wouldn't work, which is why I made up my own.
