Motor Advice - scuffing sound ?

No its not the brakes. As I stated earlier I got off the bike and did the screwdriver to ear trick, but couldn't pinpoint it. I could still hear the sound while the bike is at idle and I'm 3 feet away from it. If this torrington bearing, all replacement seals, and new tappet rollers and cam don't stop it, then it has to be the crankshaft bearings. Does anyone know if any of the crankshaft bearings can be reached and changed with the inner primary off and the cam chest open? I really don't want to split the case, but I really think that will be all thats left.

very difficult to pinpoint the sound even with a mech stethoscope on this motor - been there, done that, just forget it! I doubt it's crank bearings - they spin way faster then to produce brake-like scuffing sound.
Could be something simple. What about the primary chain? Are the sprockets aligned?
a pushrod against the tube maybe?
