When I got the TG out of storage in the spring, for the 1st few rides, she'd sputter and pop until the engine was good and warm. I added fresh gas and at 1st it didn't seem to make a difference. Then one morning, it started running fine again and has been up until this point.
I haven't ridden it in a week and a half or so because the weather has been crappy. Cold and rainy. I took it out to day to try out new grips and highway pegs I had installed on her.
She ran like crap. Worse than before. A rough idle, and when you accelerate, it would hesitate and pop, the engine would lose power and acted like it was getting too much gas and flooding. It acted like that in all gears. I had to nurse it home.
So did water get into something? Is it a vacuum leak? Did I do something wrong when I replaced the throttle grip?
No, last year it ran fine. And Like I said it started out running rough after I got it out of storage, but it worked itself out and has been running fine. Today, it seems worse than in the spring. But it's something that happened out of the blue, so to speak.
It isn't a garaged bike, it sits outside, but I keep it covered in the riding months.
