Gents, i have a 91 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. I was out for a ride today all was well for about 25 miles, with no warning the engine shut down and would not restart. After getting a tow home and letting it sit for a few hours, I just tried starting it. I could get it running but it needed full throttle to start and would shutdown if I let the throttle close, lots of black smoke out the exhaust as well.

I have no idea what the problem is, anyone ever have the same issue?

Drain fuel tank,
remove and clean or replace the screen on the petcock,
clean or replace fuel inlet needle,
check float,
replace the fuel hose,
put fuel in tank,
go ride.
