Even on my little 883 stock pipes improved it's low end and mid range. Probably not an option on my 89 Tour Glide, doubt I'd ever find stock pipes for that. But it's got an S&S 96", has all the torque I need, even with Kerkers.
Hmmm....when I was in my teens and early twenties, all my friends were listening to ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin, I was jamming to Gordon Lightfoot! I've always been to old.
If you still have the old style disk with the spring you have to silicon the spring in the grove and it should stop the squeal. Or just don't use the rear brake so much.
Loving the stock pipes cpbedor sent me.....Thanks again man!
Problem is, the bike has very LOUD very SQUEAKY rear brake. Stops GREAT, but is kinda embarrassing......
Plus, the rattle.....in the front end....I'll find it.
I might try spraying the rear brake with cleaner........NOT!
What will stop that ANNOYING squeak?
I think I gained some lovely low end torque from a stop too!
What kind of " noise " is it ?
Are the rotor and pads in good condition ?
Is there any contamination stains or gouging on the rotor ?
Check the top of the caliper for a pebble or anything lodged on top of it.
A "shrill squeek " usually means something like the above has occured.
Frankenstein (My 93 Heritage-Fatboy-Deluxe) had unbaffled drag pipes on it when i bought it last summer. Wouldn't idle unless I throttle locked it at high idle for 5 minutes. Snap crackle popped like mad when I decelaerated. had a huge midrange flat spot. No top end. Stupid loud. I put some 07 Deluxe pipes on it. I did knock out the little plug in the middle of the muffler, but there is still muffler there. Now it starts without the enrichener, idles smooth, doesn't pop on decel. Runs so much better. Just loud enough to be a hooligan when i want to, but runs so much better. Drag pipes no good on Evo i was told. Now i believe it.

Ahh, yes... Gord. Hey, do you know that song... Can't think of it, but it goes something like "I was drunk and really depressed and got drunker and more depressed...."
With the squeek, if the beveling doesn't help (I'll have to try that one), try that disk brake quiet stuff like the CRC linked above. I've had mixed results with that. Works for a while on the Sportster rear brake.
