Hey guys i have an 93 evo with an 89 s&s stroker in an S&S super sport crank case. Wondering what kind of oil pressure it should hold at idle when warm. Just got it from shop and doing the break in and at idle warm i am showing no oil pressure. Pressure come up as soon as you throttle but doesn't seem like 20 psi is much. no tac so I cant tell you the rpm.
Evos run on very little pressure because they have ball and roller bearings, which just need to be a bit damp, unlike shell bearings which need heaps of pressure.
Make sure your oil light works and be happy if it goes out at idle.

Ah, another eloquent, but simple answer..........NO GAUGE necessary!!
Cool. Next question. Have an oil leak at the front lower corner of the primary but only while running. And the more I rev the worse it leaks. Seems to be coming from the seal between the inner primary and the case. I tightened the two bolts and seems to be better. Any ideas
Nice. Par for course with him. Think I can make it 300 miles. Thats when my 500 service and check up is due. Builder and I had a falling out over other stuff like this. Would like to do primary at that service

I don't think you should let him near it again to be honest. No "professional" would ever let a bike leave the workshop with loose bolts and an oil leak!
