Crank broke behind the pinion gear outside of the case, I wouldnt think there would be much to do other than replace the crank, everything inside the motor is new, pistons heads cams with somewhere around 5k ago, i will do the work myself,, may have a shop install the crank, bike was putting out 92hp around the same torque @ 10.5 compression I think a S&S 591v cam on a stock crank

Phew! Doesn't sound anything like as bad as I feared it would turn out! It's tempting to suggest a stroker crank (I ran one for several years), but that would need other changes as well. S&S makes great stuff.......

If you do the work your self the repairs should be pretty cheap.

I completely lost track of what I've spent on a top end job on my 89 FLTCU....but trust me....there's truth to the statement that when building cars and bikes that you'll never get your money back...you do it because you want to. I am pretty sure it's going to come in around 3000 in parts...and what's time worth? Well nothing...I am going to keep doing it regardless. Oh....and as if that aint' enough...my 91 FXRS gas tank has been used and abused so I am going to paint a custom large tank...shades of super glide...getting ready to kreem it...just to be sure and then will be prepping the exterior for paint...and I have original graphics too...whooopee!
