EarthX Lithium ion battery
My 6 year old battery was kind of tired, so I purchased a new lithium ion battery. I measured the voltage upon delivery at 13.35 volts. After a 15 mile ride I measured it again at 13.9 volts...interesting.

My present battery has lasted an unbelievably 7.5 years. It still cranks the bike well, so I don't intend on replacing it this season. Next year, I'm not going to tempt fate.
BTW, what does a new battery cost from The MoCo? In 2006, I think I spent a bit over $80 for one.
