Went out for a ride and noticed the rear getting loose. Put it up on the lift when I got home and found the swing arm broken completely off near the axle on the belt side. Anyone have a swing arm for a 98 Road King? 47549-97
Why not just put a later model one on. They are much better and stronger than the old one?? Fairly simple mod. Search the site there are lots of posts on it. They are easier to find, come in different axle sizes too.

I picked up a arm off a 2002 a few years back thinking I might do the conversion but I want to keep the original wheels which I would have to dump for a 1" axle.... than I would want to replace the front end to match. I haven't rule it out, but I sure would like to find the arm that belongs, at least to salvage the rest of the season.
I have an 07 swingarm in my 1990 bike, however it is not so simple as the early brake calliper doesn't marry up. I replaced the rear wheel and brake as well. I covered it in my thread here.

Reason: Changed link.
Actually while it isn't an everyday occurence, it does happen, and there are later, stronger ones that are still 3/4" axle. They are available from some of teh trike builders or from people wh have gone the trike route!!!
