My Mom got a '93 Wide Glide a couple weeks ago and I've been going through and changing out all the fluids and getting all ready to go because the guy that had it before bought it brand new and only put 4700 miles on it. We've noticed that when it is parked in the garage and fuel line shut off there is a little rubber hose that runs off the carburetor (which I included pics) continues to leak or drain fairly consistently. Just was wonder what is causing this and what I can do to fix it. I'm kind of new to working on carburetors because I have a '07 Street Bob. Could it just be kind of gummed up from sitting so long? Thanks guys.
I went out to the shop and opened up the carb tonight and took off the bowl to take a look inside at the float. Come to find out the guy replaced it and put it in upside down so hopefully thats all the problem was. I could be wrong but I think because it was not in there correctly it was not lifting the fuel valve up high enough to stop the fuel from filling the bowl. Thanks again guys I will let ya.know if that fixed it or if it ends up being something else.
Well I checked it this morning and no luck. She's still leaking but I'm wondering if its before the carb and in the fuel line because this whole time it has been shut off and shouodn't still be dripping fuel into the bowl correct?

You can check that by taking the fuel line off the carb and seeing if it leaks from there with the fuel shut off.
It sounds more like you need to rebuild your carb to me. Your float needle seat (I think) is the problem.
