Default E-Glide seat

So, this winter project keeps growing as I continue my shopping for parts..

Anyhow, can anyone verify if there are any pan issues in installing a '97-07 seat on a '95 Electra Glide frame?? I figure maybe just a tab or something, but it could be a $300 mistake if not..

Thanks,

Later bases are plastic so its dead easy to modify them with riveted straps or cut-outs.

That's actually a pretty good point, I hadn't thought of.. I guess it could be pretty easy to modify like that..

When I used a 1989 E Glide seat on a 1998 Wide Glide I added a strap, when I put the 2012 RK seat on the Twin Cam I cut a hole for the square strap boss to fit into...both worked really well.

Sometimes I forget about removing material.. I'm sure they didn't change things too much in that timeframe, should work pretty well.. This should be a totally different bike come springtime..

Thanks,
Don't know about the touring bikes but pre-97 Dyna seats have a different front mount. The early seats have a slot on the base that fits the frame tab, later is the reverse. Not that it couldn't be modified of course...

I have a 1998 corbin seat on my 1996 electraglide. I just had to bend the tab a little....it is from a 1998 roadking on a 1996 e glide {cause i like the shorter nose}.

Awesome! Thanks for the info guys.. luckily, I found the right one for my Dyna.. That's what had me nervous, the frame design changed on them in '96.. Really glad to hear about the E Glide, thanks Brad!
