Ye Gods! Mrs B and I have been away for the weekend at a bike club Xmas bash enjoying ourselves, and to talk bikes 'til the cows come home, and you chaps are having to work on them. Best of luck getting things back to rude health.
I have started taking all that has to come off my bike, in preparation to installed the new cam and bearing this weekend, I have a small bearing puller and have read that you can use the old cam to install the new cam bearing, or I can rent the tools to do it.
I have built a lot of motorcycle engines, but this is my first Harley. I have a service manual, and when I get to the cam, I will measure and mark and take pictures to help on reassembly.

If you can work on those complicated jap bikes you will be fine.
EVO's are dead simple to work on.
Hi Spanners,Great info & pics. One of your pics shows the tower block/s oil seals & metal rings which go below seals. Ive just fitted new Jims Lifter towers and although I received oils seal etc. with Jims towers I didnt get any metal rings. Also didnt remove any metal rings from old tower blocks. Any thoughts?

You won't get them with the Jim's parts but they should be there....easy enough to buy I would imagine.
