1998 ROAD KING WITH A STAGE ONE KIT How much hp am I running?

Around the mid-high 60's would be my guess.

That bike you have has the shovelhead starter in it, and as a result of that you have about all the performance you can have, with out a Hi output starter Like all ***** and bigger amp battery -- the bikes with a kicker on them were easyer to put power to them than that one - johnjzjz

A 1998 Road King has a Shovelhead starter in it? ( My '98 Ultra didn't. Part #31553-94 - same as in my Stage II 95" Twin Cam.)

65 HP with my stock MM injection. After 10:1 Weisco's, EV 3030 cams , heads flowed and a good air cleaner, exhaust and tuner I was running close to 80 hp. Reliable too. Sold it at 65,000 miles on the odometer still running strong.

( Never touched the starter either.)

SORRY i thought it read 1988 NoT 1998 --- the crew i went to lunch with well its was a blast i wont be answering any thing else hahahaha -- jz

OH boy -- i dont smoke and had cigarettes in my hand when i got back to the shop

They are telling me Jack Daniels and i were talking at lunch // single barrel < smooth stuff tomorrow i will have to go and find my truck and keys
