What burns is that everybody who comes here (and that was a fair few people over Christmas/New Year) is supposed to be a mate or a mate of a mate (I work by word of mouth mainly) so I can't trust anyone anymore....it isn't about the money...
It might burn a little less if you had mates of your mates in your shop.
I would suppose that these people are casual aquaintances to you and they are probably the culprits and not the close buds you know well.?
Ive had this happen in a shop i ran also , its a crappy deal and it hurts.
I ended up installing fake cameras and posting big signs telling everyone that they where being watched ! It worked well.
