My 88 FLST came with the 130 degree elbow cables. I switched to drag bars and want the 90 degree elbow. Looking at ordering 1990 FLST cables that have the correct length and the 90 degree elbow. As long as they are pre-96, they should work, right??
Measure what you got and let me know and I will compare to a set of +4's that I have and tell you what the difference is.
Thank you. But my issue isn't the length. I'm going from a 130 degree elbow to a 90 degree elbow. Just want to make sure the ends are the same from 88 to 90. I know in 96 they changed from the screw in type (at the throttle control) to the round, push in type with the clip.

I think that change was 1995 when they went to the new style switches and housings...? YD

Just to be more specific, I meant the ends at the carb.
I called J&P to speak to a tech. The guy agreed that the 90 cables will work on my 88 so I ordered them. Worst case they don't fit I'll just send them back and try again.

The idle cable on my '95 has a 1/4 20 thread on it and the throttle cable is 5/16 - 18 thread.
