Posted this in the touring section last week with no response.

Anyways. I was getting a clicking noise from the front end, got the bike on the jack and found it definitely coming from the front wheel. When riding i can only hear it when I pull in the clutch and roll to a stop. On the jack I can tell it only does it at a certain point in the wheels rotation and no matter how slow I spin the wheel I can hear it even though it isn't as loud as it is when rolling.

Any ideas? Maybe a wheel bearing? I would expect more of a grind while riding from a bad wheel bearing though.

 

I will bet it is a wheel bearing. Heard that same click coming from the rear my scoot once and that was the problem.

Since everyone else gave you the correct answer I'll try this to be different, could it be a bad brake pad or rotor?

There is usually a "tell" when the pads wear down to replacement time.

 

How come nobody said anything dumb about posting in the touring section? Man, we're slipping.

 

If you develop a click in your cupholder you should definitely post your question in the touring section.

You must be dumb posting in the touring section, they don't even know where to put your gas cap when filling up!!!

 

OK boys back off the kid. I'm vouching for him. One of two things happened to cause his misdirection. 1. He is just getting home from a deployment (Thank You). 2. When he got back in the states he went home to see family in the frozen north and he had brain freeze. As you can see he remembered where to turn to. If I recall, you boys were able to help him out with his ride before he left on deployment so he knows where to go.

 

Ya know, it could have been the cup holder.
