I am putting a new rear tire on dads 95 heritage softail. putting the wheel back on i have a small gap between the pully side swingarm and spacer on the wheel. I have the small spacer on the disc side, larger spacer on the pulley side. Its like im missing a piece. I was not there when he took it apart. By looking at the service manual it looks like all parts are in the correct order. Now my dad did lose the right side spacer but got a replacement the dealer. I checked the part number and it is correct. What am i doing wrong? Thanks. here is a pic
You should have one spacer on the right and two on the left.
You have a total of 3 spacers that are supposed to be there.
Two are the same size and one is longer.
The two shorter ones fit inside the bearing seals.
Ok that would make sense. I have a small spacer on the disc side and only the bigger spacer on the pulley side. It looks like only one spacer in the service manual for the pulley side. But ill go to the dealer and get one. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you are missing a small spacer.
My local dealer told me the spacers are obsolete.
