what we see underneath is not on the cover, thats the casing.
i was wondering about kuryakyn, and hoping someone will go Yeah... just do this and that....
Lights, grips. and other stuff are Kuryakyn (it looks like)but did not see anything like this in google searches.
I can guarantee you .. them aint LED's back there... just some blue metallic trim.. same trim scheme as the rest of the toppers on the bike., but they aren't toppers for sure.
Hopefully someone out there has done a build with these... or maybe that's why they don't sell them any more .
my first guess is some type of spanner tool that would go into two of those holes and twist it off, and a backing plate behind it.
I'm not about to take a chisel and see if it's glued on... sorry!
no disrespect about the chisel and prying it off by the way.. just a little humor..
truth is.. that thing is mated flush up against the housing.. it's a perfect fit. so I'm guessing someone is going to tell me there is a tool or trick to it.

Have you ever pulled an evo timing cover? If the stock one that is rivited on has been drilled out, you still have a pot metal cast cover with screws, that screws into the drilled and tapped screws holding the cam position sensor in place for its adjustment... if you drill out the stock rivited cover, you can now put on any aftermarket timing cover and screw it on, or stick something on like that one.
Are you sure it isn't a one-piece skin with integral timing cover? Undo some of the bolts and see if you have a thin chromed cover sitting over the OEM ally one.
If youre talking about a stock EVO casing,,, this is a delcron casing with slightly bigger jugs. So I don't know. And I've never been in one of these things so You do know way more than I do. But I'm holding off on the chisel for a day or two!.. It's beaituful Chrome and I'd hate to F*&**& it up
WOW... Dude... that's a brilliant idea! ( a custom cover over the whole thing ).
I have two friends who own a shop in Westminster Md and we've been scratching our heads looking at this thing so I said, I'll put pictures on the HD Forum.. someone somewhere has to know what the heck I've got here..
So far you've got the best thought out idea yet ( for know knowing what it is)
