Anyone try this kit?

John I put the kit on my bike this weekend. As you mentioned nothing lined up. Hard to believe these parts were made by the same manufacturer. A bit of drilling and tapping got me there. Stock headlamp has me stuck. It seems it is too large, deep, for the inner mounting plate. Either that or the 3 screws it came with for the outer ring are far too short. Did you bang into this on your install?
My choices:
Longer screws, but I still think it will not fit properly.
Much shallower 7" lamp. Don't know if they exist.
Rework the hell out of the mounting plate.
Anyone have any experience with a set up like this.

i did warn you about the fit as it sucks - but i like the look -- i spend a couple of days in and out till i finially got it to be almost right // and you cant tighten any of it till all the bolts are in the thing, then its a snug this one than that one kind if thing to keep it on track and when you take it apart its the same thing, be carefull the chrome is not thick
