Thanks. Me too. I can probably rig something to get me by for a while.. Ticks me off, I carry a ton of tools just for situations like this. If I have just loosened the backplate, I would have seen it. In fact, I took the cover off and noticed the metal sleeve on the back bolt to the head was showing more than I remembered. Should have done a little trouble shooting and saved myself $100 towing. Oh well.

Anyone got one laying around the garage? Maybe I can rig something up to hold the carb in place.

This happened to mate on a poker run and we wired it in place with an old coathanger we scrounged from a pub....was still on a year later.

I'm going to try holding the sleeve in with a hose clamp. I'm looking at those support brackets. I'm looking at this thing.

Any reason why it won't work for me? My bike had the old butterfly carb, but I put a cv on it.

Hose clamp, super glue, I think it will hold for a while. I'll carry a clothes hanger just in case it happens again. BTW, after I put the carb back in, it started right up!

Thanks! I'm wondering if that bracket will work with my original air cleaner setup. I don't see why it wouldn't. If you have that, pm me how much you want for it.
