I never ride without full gear. I'm trying to find some lighter weight pants and coats though.
The summer heat is coming...........
I have a HD mesh jacket, somewhat similar to this but much plainer. It has silver mesh and black leather on the sleeves and upper back where you would take a hit.
It's awesome in the FL heat - the minute you start moving the wind blows right through it and it's like wearing a t-shirt. Gets a little hot at stop lights but no shirt would be hot at stop lights. It also comes with a liner that zips in for cool evenings returning from the drag strip. Overall it's just wonderful. And I got lucky and got it on the clearance rack, it's black and silver just like my anniversary bike.
I highly recommend the mesh jacket, try one on someday.
I also have black Slider pants from competition accessories, with kevlar in all the wear points. They are slightly hotter than regular jeans not dramatically and they provide significant more road rash resistance.
