Had operation on knee and been laid up for quite awhile. Finally got to look at 85 Electra Glide yesterday and found problem. It has an Crane Single fire race ignition on it and the rev limiter adjustment has a scorched area on it. Thats the problem on the rpm's. The oil gurgling went away. Checking today into getting a new one or another brand for it. WAS not impressed with the Advices I got on here about the RPM problem.

I know I didn't post it as a rpm problem, but it was also a (major part of my problems) in my post. Might should of made new post for rpm problem
It could be that the OP (you) seemed to link the RPM problem to the oil problem. I wonder whos inadequate description caused the confusion?

Right here you should have stated bike is no longer puking oil. Now problem is motor will not rev over 4000k.

Then people would have asked what type of ignition??

Tmanbuck's response was much more accurate before you "fixed" it.

I just wish the forum would just put a disclaimer at the top to inform us the problems are being worked on.
