85 Electra Glide Problem
you said you changed the oil i think i read - if so do you know for sure you have an evo oil filter and not a twinkie filter on it - harley morons think the 2 are the same at my local dealer -- jz
Changed oil and filter after it acted up. No difference with new oil, filter, and plugs. 4,000rpm max. Lot of things this could be. No problems until crank up this year. 10,000 miles on topend. New rings, valves, valve guides, springs and retainers, lifters new also.
you will have to check the block vent the 85 if thats the bike it needs to be open to the air -
if its clear and air is freely blowing out when running -
you might have to remove the cam cover to check the breather valve if its still the plastic one it could have broken

With all the experienced Rider's on here, I really think someone would have addressed my rpm problem in my prior posted better than it was handled. bagga u were bond and determined it had a broken valve spring. Wrong.
Had operation on knee and been laid up for quite awhile. Finally got to look at 85 Electra Glide yesterday and found problem. It has an Crane Single fire race ignition on it and the rev limiter adjustment has a scorched area on it. Thats the problem on the rpm's. The oil gurgling went away. Checking today into getting a new one or another brand for it. WAS not impressed with the Advices I got on here about the RPM problem.
I know I didn't post it as a rpm problem, but it was also a (major part of my problems) in my post. Might should of made new post for rpm problem

These guys tried to help you figure out you problem.
Next time just take the bike to a mechanic, you don`t need any help from here.
