Motor covers were that way when I got the bike, I took it all off with sandpaper and polished the cases eventually...the colour is "Indian Red" and its one of them no primer anti-rust paints that comes in a rattle can.

Yup, right side, was a 1973 XLCH, its still around and I see it regularly.

yep it's a right side shift I had a 68 but it was blue , when my dog farted I left the house

Just got home from work, sprinkling when i left, 3 miles into ride home it is a downpour with 40 mile per hour head winds...not fun at 2am, wife mad at me for running in rain at night, im mad cause i got a wild hair and washed it yesterday. Oh well but i am very tired of the rain record setting month already 12 inches i believe,and not done yet.

Apples, it only rains here when it's time to get off work or on the weekends! Other than that, it's great.

It is flooding north of us now, probably be here next. We dont need another one 2011 was devistating to the area, and the local economies..nebraska gotta love it, flooding, blizzards, tornados and great weather in between.
