Default Twin Tec Installed

Yee Haw! She feels like she could pull a wheelie! I set the timing using TDC and then checked it with the strobe.....YA HOO! right on the money!

Mr. Spanners, I plan on checking the wiring on the stock ignition. I have the feeling you were correct about cracked insulation or chafed wire, but, since I was upgrading the ignition anyway, decided to wait.

The Twin Tec 1005 is the same ignition that was on the FLHTP. I'm really pleased with it.

I do have one concern though. The green VOES LED isn't flashing on the unit. I checked VOES continuity.... good. Checked to see if applying vacuum made the continuity change...... check.

All I can say is, she's running like a scalded dog .........and, before you ask, NO, I DID NOT buy an oil scavenger..........

traildog don't need no Indy as long as he has HDF...........

Did I happen to mention how much I enjoy wrenching?

Good deal TD

the green voes should be lit when active(grounded-high timing map)
Disconnect the purple/white wire for the voes and ground it, if the light comes on like it should, you know the module is OK, and the problem is with the voes or it's wiring.

If the light does not come on when the purple/white is grounded, I'd call them (DTT)

Nice! Should get to start mine this weekend after all the winter mods. Glad to see it all worked out. Congrats!
