I took out the plug to check the lifter screen the other day, and it has been seeping a little oil ever since. I replaced the "O" ring, but it is still seeping. Anybody have this problem? It is coming up past the "O" ring. Can I put in a thicker one? I just can't quite figure out why it is not sealing up. I have done this before without problems. By the way, I have never found anything in the screen.

 

Check the screen is seated properly, also check that new O ring is fat enough...you can go a bit fatter if need be.

 

Thanks Spanners. I just picked up the O ring from HD. The old one did not look bad but they are pretty thin. I will see if I can find one a bit thicker and see if that works. Thanks again.
