Got a bum ignition light switch on an 85 classic. As you all know, and I had to find out, there warn't many a dose mamma jammas made afore dey wer discontina'd.
So...is there anyone out there with some experience with replacement switchs for this even if it means relocating to a different place on the bike. I would still like to have the ignition and ignition with lights as separate positions on the switch.

She is 29 years old and the contacts in the ign. switch are probably dirty.
Disconnect the battery , buy a can of WD40 , use the long tube included and spray into all your switches while activating the switches until what drains out is clear. Let sit for 24 hrs. then reconnect the battery . Go for a ride .
Is all well now ?
Machinehed She's old but she's a great ride. Thanks for the input. I had thought about trying to take it apart and clean it up, but the local tech who also has an 85 said they were not rebuild-able. I will try what you suggest.
