Welcome to the EVO clan. Nice that you got your dads bike back from your uncle. Evos are a great bike and if you take care of the bike it will take care of you. The carb is the easy way to go then again I have older evos and know nothing about efi and hate the idea of scensors. My 97 superglide is s&s carb and our other two evos are 89's and are carbed and I receive a lot of joy in wrenching on them. have fun with it.
Appreciate all of the feed back so far. Looking forward to learning more about the bike in years to come. Tomorrow it's getting a little bit of a face lift with a new front wheel, followed by a seat and possibly a removable fairing to break the wind and add some tunes. Anyone know of a good place to find a nice used badlander or silhouette style seat at a reasonable price? Not a huge fan of the pillow top it currently has other than the fact its comfy... but it sets me to high and forward on the bike.
Welcome and nice King. It ooks like you are making it your in no time. You can get speakers and amp kit to wire in and hook to your bars for tunes at a reasonable price. You can sometimes find deals on used seats on ebay. Do you have the removable windshield?

Ive seen some of those kits on ebay but not sure which brand is a good one to go with. I do have the removable shield but dont use it. The seat puts me right at the bend in the windshield and distorts my view.
