1997 EG Well the first one is I changed out a rear rotor. Just had alot of wear and was tapered a good bit. Got a local indy (I use them for most parts I need) to order one, just said get me a good one. The package it came in was from Drag Specialties. Put it on with a tire change and bought Lyndel pads. Brake performance was great and then the squealing set in. I don't mean a little on a lite apply I mean ALOT no matter what. Ok went back to Indy he had never sold Lyndel and said he didn't have a clue. If he doesn't know he will just tell ya. Well ok I asked what kinda pads do you sell as a rule and have you used these rotors before with good results. He went and got me a set of EBC and said take them and try them no charge. Can't beat that, put them on all is fine for about 300 or so mi. In town and hwy. Then these start squealing on lite apply but quit if I.m on the brakes enough. Would appreciate some suggestion in this.
The second one. I have a sundowner seat on this 97 EG FLHT. The drivers backrest I got when installed squishes the top of the seat down a good bit. Enough the backrest can't fold forward any at all. Would like it to in helping me throwing my leg over the bike. A bum left knee makes it tough to put right leg threw or straight over the seat and hop once or twice to get on.
