Maybe not but people on this forum promote their use as essential during an EV27 install....which they are not and so I try to save people money by pointing out that they not essential, in fact they are not needed in far more applications than you might otherwise believe.

Worked on a Twin Cam with seriously hot cams and shaved heads a while back (new lifters due to mileage) it ran stock pushrods...and pushed out over 100HP.

Too many people believe that EV27 and adjustables are part of the same sentence...they are not and I never use them nor promote their use as its just one more thing that can screw up and I have seen them do a variety of bad things from undoing themselves to being manufactured badly so they rub on the pushrod towers.

People may be getting tired of my mission to disseminate only accurate and factual information on the forum but that's my kaupapa (Maori word for mission) folks....the real deal rather than fashionable misinformation.

Adjustables are defintely not essential to or required w/ the EV27 cam. Run one in my 88 Softail because I have adjustables in both my pans and shovels, and if I need to get into the cone it is not necessary to pull the top off. So for me it is just a comfort level sort of thing.

Hell, don't think anyone here thinks/believes that your info is not worth running down. Think most of us here in the EVO section appreciate your knowledge and contributions. See you were gone for a bit but glad you are back.
