Default Stock CVO Exhaust any good? HELP !!

Stock CVO Springer 110 Exhaust - Thinking of finding/removing Cats if they are there. Looking for a nice deep tone, without blasting ears.

Here is the current exhaust I have now. Seems everyone has these. A bit loud with 103 BB kit and 255 Cams.

I recently got a Stock 2007 CVO Springer exhaust complete from one of my friends. I know everyone changes these right after they get them. Here is what I am thinking about, so any real knowledgeable help would be appreciated.

I see in the Screaming Eagle Cat. there are SE mufflers for these pipes ( similar to Fat Boy pipes) .

1. Do the CVO bikes come with these mufflers already?
2. Are there CATS in the mufflers that can be removed for better flow?
I have the similar pipes everyone has, V&H Big Radius, while they are nice, everyone has them !!! Also they blow dust all over my friends bikes when we ride in the summer. A few suggestions of what I can do with those pipes. haha

3. Could I possibly gain a little torque with using the longer pipes?

Am I on the right track here, or just trying to hard to create something that will just choke the engine? Not sure how I will make it work with my bags, but first figure out if this is worth the time. Any good Harley guys know where to find flow numbers?

If they are cvo pipes , they may be se mufflers. i do agree about your current pipes, real common, look good, and probably loud. That being said i would think the cvo pipes would work just fine if they bolt up for you. how about a nice 2n1

Sell both sets of the pipes you have and then drop a D&D Fatcat on your bike. With the 103 and 255's and a good dyno tune you better have a good grip on the bars.

Default Fatcat

I'll look that one up, I have seen it meantioned here, but never seen one. How loud are they? Looking for something that is not as bad as the current V&H.

Thank you for your comments,
Bob

They only get really loud when you hammer on it but they have different levels of baffles that you can order already installed or buy separately. Had a Fatcat installed on my FXDWG and took the Big Radius pipes off, re-tuned it on a Dyno and picked up 15 hp and about 18 lb/ft. of torque. Just from the pipes.

+1 on d and d. i have the bobcat. Probably a little quieter than the fatcat or the lowcat. VERY good pipes for sound and PERFORMANCE.
